right now I'm reading a book about Pablo Picasso with the name "Life with Picasso".

it was written by one of his muses, Francois Gillot. 

she tells about living with a great artist, difficult person and his philosophie about life and art which I'm really interested in.

i'm really interested in the question if you can seperate the art from it's creator and this book is a great approach to this.
